Our long tradition began in 1950 with the sale of know-how developed by the major German construction company Dyckerhoff & Widmann AG (DYWIDAG). Strong growth and the increasing internationalization in marketing innovative DYWIDAG systems lead to the concentration of DYWIDAG’s activities within a specialized department in the organization.
The DSI Group was established to market DYWIDAG Systems and technical know-how around the world and to develop new innovative systems through R&D activities in order to expand the existing range of products and systems.
Today, DSI is a global market leader in the development, production and supply of Post-Tensioning and Geotechnical Systems as well as Concrete Accessories for the construction industry. Furthermore, DSI is a leading supplier of Ground Control Solutions for the mining and tunneling industries worldwide.

DSI acquires the remaining 38% shareholding of PROTENDIDOS DYWIDAG Ltda., Brazil.
December 2009
DSI acquires the remainder of the shares of DYWIDAG Sistemas Constructivos (DSC) in Spain. DSC now is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of the DSI Group.

DYWIDAG-Systems International (DSI) acquires business from AGRHIMERC S.A.C., Peru and establishes DSI Peru S.A.C.. AGRHIMERC S.A.C., founded in 1997, is a well established producer of products such as friction bolts and rock reinforcement products for the mining markets.

DSI acquires Fosminas Ancoragens Ltda., a leading producer of mining products in Brazil.
January 2008
The acquisition of MET-TECH Industries Ltd., USA extends DSI's market leadership in supplying mining products in North America.

DSI acquires Idéaplast in France. Idéaplast produces accessories for the construction, aviation and automotive industries.

DSI is sold by Industri Kapital to CVC Capital Partners. CVC Capital Partners is a leading international private equity company with a total of 11.6 billion Euros in equity capital.
