FASLOC ® Resin Cartridges
Polyester resin anchoring system
Advantages
- strata dowelled ... strong anchoring strata not required
Competent anchorage has been obtained with the Du Pont FASLOC ® System in a variety of soft shale formations. Field tests have shown that FASLOC ® offers increased resistance to anchorage failure caused by blasting or vibration. - easy to install and maintain
Simplicity of operation and elimination of the time and effort required to correctly tension single point anchorage bolts are important advantages of the FASLOC ® resin anchored bolt system. Supervision of initial tensioning and subsequent rechecking of torque tension is not normally required. Where tensioned bolts are required, FASLOC ® can be adapted to a variety of procedures:- Point anchorage
- Full length grouting
- tension develops internally with application of load
The combined anchorage strength of the resin and the bolt exceeds the yield point of the steel bolt. Pull test comparisons (shown in Figure 1, page 3) illustrate the strength of the FASLOC ® System versus other systems. - smooth stress strain curve ... no bleed off
Full-length resin anchored bolts provide effective resistance to changing rock strata stresses throughout their entire length, thereby assuring satisfactory stabilization of rock strata over long periods of time. - resists vertical and lateral strata movement
The Du Pont FASLOC ® System is designed to resist both vertical and lateral movements of roof strata, the most common causes of roof failure. - complete sealing of bolt and hole
The full-length resin anchorage effectively seals wet, dripping holes and, in most cases, eliminates further deterioration of the hole and surrounding strata. The fully-encased bolt is also protected from eventual weakening due to corrosion. FASLOC ® resin is unaffected by sea water, fresh water, mild acids or mild alkalies. - shorter bolts
Since the FASLOC ® resin bolt system anchors along its entire length in a wide variety of strata, including soft shale, competent support is often obtained with shorter resin bolts as compared to mechanical bolts under the same roof conditions.
